Shantou Kica Machinery Factory Co., Ltd. is "State Level High & New Tech Enterprise", "Guangdong High & New Tech Enterprise", "Guangdong One Hundred Patent Superior Enterprise". It is an integrated science research, design, manufacture and sales company. Our main business is environment friendly tableware equipment units, thermoforming packing machinery units, plastic machinery and mould. Shantou Kica Machinery Factory Co., Ltd. was established in 1989. Through over 10 years of hard work and development, our production scale has been expanding. Now our total assets is about RMB35 millions. We have 115 employees, 39 of them are engineering technicians. We have established long term technology cooperation with Shantou University, Chinese Academic of Environment, South China Industry University, this will improve our capability of solving different kinds of technical problems and developing new products. We persist in the principle of leading by science and technology, base on product quality, and develop depending on our reputation. We have employed many mechanical, mould, computer and high molecular material professionals. The number of technicians account for 33% of our employees. Large amount of capitals have been invested in new products research and development, annual investment is about RMB2.35 million, accounting for 3% of our sales revenue. We have many advanced equipments such as precision digital control lathes, grinding machines, milling machines, engraving machine, CNC, testing equipment and supporting equipment which are imported from other countries. We invented the raw material prescription and we are quite clear about the chemical reaction principle (including physical modification and chemical modification) of corn starch under high temperature, biological action, light and water. We own 68 pieces of technical patent in China, and 2 invention patents in America and Indonesia. In 1996, our company began to invest large amount of money to research and develop corn starch material extrusion equipment unit and its technical process. The first and second production lines were purchased by Dongguan Honghao High & New Technology Co., Ltd., and the two lines have been running very well ever since they were put into production. Every year, we always have new technical patent and new science achievement, this is good foundation for our development. In August, 2005, we were ISO9001 certified issued by the SGS. We have a strict quality control system, we supervise all the production process from material purchasing, processing, products put in storage and products delivered to customers. By these means, we can ensure the quality of our products. Our quality control is carried out according to the standard. We own nine pieces of patent for the "Corn Starch Bio-Degradable Material Sheet Extruding Unit" which was developed by our company. Through appraisal by the experts, its technology is regarded as leading in China, advanced in international market. The products made by this unit are low cost, nontoxic, bio-degradable and natural degradable. In natural environment, it becomes debris in 3 months, and degrade completely in one year. It is ideal substitute for EPS packing material and containers. The products made by this line have been exported to many countries such as Japan, Korea, Canada, Singapore, and Russia and are welcome by the customers.
